~~ Alone We Shall Never Be ~~

When the weight of the world seems too much
for our human bodies to bear
Pass our load to Heaven above
where God's love resides there.

God will carry the load for us
and lead us through the day
One day we will look back at this
and know we travelled the right way.

When the pain sometimes seems too much
spare a thought for the Lord above
For the pain he suffered on that cross
was born for us in Love.

He knows our every trial and challenge
and He will never let us down
At the end of our time when we get called home
Arms outstretched holding our Heavenly gown.

Mere mortals we are, but we are so much more
Because God has chosen us to share
And because of what we have been through
strength to others will be there.

So rest assured, when the challenge is great
Alone we shall never be
Holding our hand as we face the day
As His love does set us free.
